Power generation has side-effects – heat and noise. With CHP, we can harness the heat generated and reuse it. But noise must be suppressed. WBPS provide expert acoustic solutions for CHP systems throughout the UK.

WHAT ARE CHP ACOUSTIC SOLUTIONS?

CHP systems efficiently recycle the heat generated by diesel-based power generation. But what about the noise? In most power generation environments, noise must be kept with acceptable parameters and this must be monitored and maintained over long periods of time. In situations where a standard generator enclosure may not be sufficient, acoustic enclosures are often the best option. At WBPS we have many acoustic solution projects under our belts, including enclosures for healthcare, education, construction, manufacturing and industry.

As well as designing and building the enclosures, we also deliver and install and provide the necessary testing and commissioning to ensure your generator set produces noise within agreed limits. Enclosures can also offer protection against weather and security risks. Additionally we can supply and fit exhaust silencers and other noise-reducing systems to provide an overall acoustic solution.

ACOUSTIC CHP CONTAINERS

No matter your acoustic requirements, the solution we propose as part of your CHP generator package will be completely bespoke and designed to comply with all your site conditions. We can offer a wide range of acoustic solutions for your CHP power package, varying greatly in shape, size, dependent on your generator size, noise level requirements and the amount of space available. In addition to this, we’re also able to offer additional services such as paint specifications, installation of fuel solutions and associated pipework, mechanical installation of your generator and of course, any electrical installation work that is required.

ACOUSTIC CHP CANOPIES

As with our CHP generator containers, all our acoustic canopies are designed to suit a vast degree of engine sizes, noise level requirements and site conditions. Generally, canopies are required where site space is limited. With this in mind, WB Power Services can design you an acoustic canopy to suit these requirements.

PLANT ROOM ATTENUATION

If you have an on-site plant room in need of attenuation, WB Power Services can design and install a solution to suit a multitude of requirements, such as engine size, noise level requirements and provision of additional works required, such as fuel pipework, emissions treatment and footprint solutions.
