CHP FAULT DIAGNOSIS AND ANALYSIS UK

CHP POWER OUTAGE SUPPORT

WBPS provide expert fault-finding and problem diagnosis for CHP systems throughout the UK.

WE’LL BE ON-SITE TO DIAGNOSE YOUR CHP GENERATOR FAULT WITHIN 2-4 HOURS

Our expertise in CHP packages means our experienced technicians can help you with your CHP fault analysis. Typically used as back-up systems, CHP systems can be designed to continue to operate and serve essential loads during an interruption to mains power. This increases the security of energy supplies, meaning that essential services – heat, light and power, etc., remain fully operational during a power cut. Because of their importance in an emergency situation, it is vital that proper fault analysis is available at all times. With our experience, you can be assured that we can carry out CHP fault analysis to help prevent prolonged downtime.

WHAT IS CHP?

Combined Heat and Power (CHP) is a system in which electricity and heat are generated together. CHP is also sometimes called cogeneration. It can be used to generate electricity for homes, businesses, and industry. We also supply CHP systems to third sector organisations such as healthcare and education establishments.

There are many benefits to using CHP. When heat and power are generated together, it is more efficient than generating them separately. CHP can also reduce emissions of pollutants and greenhouse gases.

CHP is a versatile technology that can be applied in many different ways. It can be used to generate electricity for a single home or building, or it can be used on a larger scale to generate electricity for an entire community. CHP can also be used to provide heat for space heating or industrial processes.

CHP GENERATOR FAULTS & ANALYSIS

A CHP system consists of three main components: a heat source, a power generation unit, and a waste heat recovery unit. Faults can occur in any of these components, resulting in a decrease in efficiency or an increase in emissions. The most common cause of faults is operational error, such as incorrect fuel supply or insufficient cooling water. Other causes of faults include component wear, poor maintenance, and extreme weather conditions. To minimise the risk of faults, it is important to regularly maintain and inspect all components of the CHP system. By doing so, you can reduce the chance of faults occurring and ensure that your system operates at its best.

To avoid the risk of complete breakdown, which in many environments would be a catastrophic situation, WBPS provide both monitoring and one-off fault analysis to CHP system owners.

Via our CHP generator maintenance packages, we can keep your system running at peak efficiency at all times, predict failures, and, if a fault should occur, diagnose and provide a solution quickly.
