CHP GENERATOR FACTORY ACCEPTANCE TESTING, AT OUR STATE-OF-THE-ART TESTING FACILITY

Factory acceptance testing is used to verify that the power generation equipment we supply systems meet the design specifications and performance requirements set out in the project design. The testing is usually conducted at the manufacturer’s factory before the equipment or system is shipped to your site.

During factory acceptance testing, our team confirm that the equipment meets all of the requirements. In a Combine Heat and Power scenario, there are many complex parts to the overall system, all of which need to work efficiently and within acceptable parameters.

By conducting this type of testing at the factory, we can identify and correct and problems before the equipment is installed at your site. This can save time and money by avoiding the need to rework or replace equipment after it has been installed. FAT can also provide valuable feedback to the manufacturer about the design and performance of their products.

WHAT TESTS ARE CARRIED OUT?

In a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), we thoroughly test:

  • Power output
  • Power stability and quality
  • Noise levels
  • Load Bank Testing
  • Vibration
  • Build quality
  • Inspecting the exterior of the for completeness of assembly (no missing parts)
  • Correct functioning of fuel level and oil level gauges, bolt tightness
  • Correct functioning of digital equipment
  • And much more.

WHY TEST YOUR CHP COGENERATION POWER SYSTEM?

Combined Heat and Power, or CHP, is a type of energy generation that involves the simultaneous production of electricity and heat. As well as being more environmentally-friendly, CHP systems are also more efficient than traditional energy generation methods, making them an attractive option for businesses and organisations. While there are many different types of CHP systems, they all share the common goal of using renewable energies to generate both electricity and heat.

The outcome is reduced utility costs and reduced CO2 emissions and carbon footprint. At WBPS we have been at the forefront of the emerging CHP marketplace in the UK. Our overall mission is to provide reliable and environmentally-friendly power to UK’s businesses and third sector organisations.
