Key to our fuel management services is monitoring what fuel has been used, when it was purchased, how and where it is being stored and for how long. Diesel generators require high quality fresh fuel to run at peak efficiency. Fuel arriving on your site is checked against an agreed set of standards. Any fuel that does not meet the standards can be rejected. Fuel that does not meet quality standards can cause lasting damage to generator sets. Diesel fuel has a limited life span and can lose freshness in a matter of months.

FUEL POLISHING

Stored fuel can degrade in quality over time. Water ingress, microbial growth and exposure to air can all degrade the fuel quality. As well as fuel lifespan monitoring, we can also provide fuel polishing, which cleans the fuel of particles that can accumulate when fuel is stored.
