2023 AMPS AWARDS FOR EXCELLENCE - INNOVATION AND TECHNOLOGY AWARD WINNERS

On 17^th November, the 2023 AMPS Awards for Excellence took place at the historic Motorcycle Museum in Solihull, a grand ceremony which celebrated the remarkable achievements of those working within the power industry.

An evening, marked by a commitment to sustainability and business growth, highlighted the exceptional contributions and achievements by businesses within the sector to help reach a more sustainable future.

The ceremony not only saw companies shortlisted for their hard work, but also their commitment and dedication to excellence, innovation and the journey to a net zero future. AMPS’s Director General, David Oates, expressed his gratitude to all those who took away accolades as well as all those shortlisted who have made a remarkable contribution to the industry.

With so many nominated for various awards throughout the evening, WBPS were thrilled to claim their award for Innovation and Technology for their revolutionary Data Centre E-Pod.

Commenting on the Award, CEO of the Wilmott Group and Managing Director of WBPS and Wiltech Acoustics, Andrew Wilmott says: “We are thrilled to have won the Innovation and Technology Award at this year’s AMPS Awards for Excellence. This amazing achievement is the result of all the team at WBPS, and our collective abilities to produce and manufacture a truly remarkable product that has revolutionised the way power is delivered.

“Our Data Centre E-Pod has transformed standby power for many within the Data Centre sector, and it is through our exceptional design capabilities and project management expertise, that we have been able to develop a new plug and play standby power facility that can be tailored to meet the needs of the services we are working with.

“We understand that the ‘one size fits all approach’ is no longer a viable solution for our customers, and our E-Pod is testimony to a system that is not only revolutionary and sustainable in its design but is also one that can be adjusted according to the customer’s requirements.
