RIBA Stage 0 – Strategic Definition

We help developers define power resilience, scalability, and land‑use strategy from day one. Early feasibility includes evaluating modular power options and BaseCore foundations to accelerate deployment. Our team supports capacity planning, sustainability objectives and long‑term resilience needs to shape a robust data centre power strategy.

RIBA Stage 1 – Preparation & Briefing

We work with stakeholders to build a technical brief covering electrical resilience, modular power requirements and future expansion pathways. BaseCore’s modular groundwork capability helps shorten programme timelines, while our engineering input ensures all power, cooling and redundancy expectations are fully captured and aligned with hyperscale standards.

RIBA Stage 2 – Concept Design

Our engineers develop early-stage power concepts including modular e‑Pod layouts, standby generation strategies and scalable BaseCore infrastructure. We model different redundancy levels, UPS topologies and load growth scenarios, enabling developers to visualise resilient, modular solutions that reduce onsite construction demands and accelerate the build pathway.

RIBA Stage 3 – Spatial Coordination

We coordinate modular power systems, generator compounds, UPS rooms and BaseCore-supported plant areas into the architectural and engineering model. Our team ensures seamless integration between mechanical, electrical and civil designs, optimising spatial efficiency and reducing clashes to keep projects moving toward fast-track delivery.

RIBA Stage 4 – Technical Design

We produce detailed specifications, drawings and sequencing plans for modular power assets, including e‑Pods, switchgear, UPS systems and fuel infrastructure. BaseCore foundations and modular methodologies are incorporated to support rapid installation. Our technical team works with consultants and vendors to finalise every aspect of data centre power resiliency.

RIBA Stage 5 – Manufacturing & Construction

With offsite-built modular power systems, we reduce time and risk on site. Our e‑Pods and BaseCore components are assembled, tested and quality‑controlled in controlled environments before delivery. Onsite, we oversee installation, integration and commissioning to minimise disruption and accelerate readiness for energisation.

RIBA Stage 6 – Handover

We manage full testing, documentation and training to ensure developers receive a fully validated, resilient power system. Modular design means predictable performance, easier maintenance and shorter transition to operational status. We support smooth migration into service and provide ongoing technical assistance.

RIBA Stage 7 – Use, Maintenance and Lifecycle

We provide long-term maintenance, performance monitoring and upgrade pathways for modular power systems. With scalable e‑Pods and BaseCore-supported expansions, operators can flex capacity as demand grows. This case study looks at the WB E-POD packages produced for one specific global hyperscale Data Centre client. The offsite built and tested solution includes transformer, switchgear, generator, UPS, cooling, gantry, all interconnections between containers and fully site commissioning making this a true plug and play solution. WB Power Services delivered 48 high‑capacity 1650 kVA Rehlko generator systems using a compact stacked gantry design to reduce footprint while supporting rising data hall power densities.
