>10MVA Generator, UPS, LV and HV Installations for National Data Centre Group
WB Power’s work with this National Data Centre Group spans across a wide range of infrastructure requirements, and includes the provision of generators, UPS systems, bulk fuel storage, switchgear and package subs. Works completed for the client was completed across four separate data centres.
DERBY DATA CENTRE
The first of a 2 part project for WBPS comprised of the supply, installation and commissioning of 2 x 700kVA generators. Following the completion of all civil works and upgrade of existing earth design to meet site requirements, these new 700kVA generating sets were to be installed with dead bus synchronisation and 48hr fuel storage.
Further to this, WBPS were appointed to supply and installation of 1mVA package substation with complete UPS back up, including a complete HV and LV installation.
NORTHAMPTON DATA CENTRE
WBPS were employed by the data centre to design, supply, install and commission new HV switchgear infrastructure, complete with 2 x 2MVA package sub stations. This included a LV distribution network and a HV installation, including 4MVA suppy with 4 outgoing 2MVA HV switches for N+N configuration. This was also inclusive of 2 x 1100kVA generators with acoustic plant room fit out for 70dBA@1m.
The installation also came with a 48hr fuel storage solution, completion of all civil works and upgrade of existing earth design to meet site requirements. Service and maintenance regimes set up and operational for all equipment on all sites.
WAKEFIELD DATA CENTRE
The solution included the provision of four 1100kVA generators with the capacity to run for 72 hours on full load, 2 x 3MVA HV transformers, local HV switchgear and HV infrastructure with 5,000A rated switchboard inclusive of automatic changeovers, UPS input and output boards and site distribution.
The whole package has been designed by our Project team and includes the latest state-of-the-art PLC controls and power management systems. Furthermore, the panels were manufactured in the client’s company colours, to keep in-line with their corporate branding.
